Coffee beans and Cloves

This Diwali

Hi All!

Hope this Diwali is extremely enjoyable for everyone, your families and your bfs/gfs :)
At home we have lit the house, made cookies and chocolates.. Tomorrow there is pooja at office. at 8:30 in the morning. See. See, this is why I don’t like religions. On the  one day off they will make u wake up early! Will try to put up pics.
I was sitting here, in my room… the noise outside remote. And was thinking to myself. Whom would I love to be with this Diwali and what would we possibly do. I thought of Malu, and tara. We could start off with a Dominos special pizzas for four … And the Shallot Pizza! .. Followed by icecream all stored in the freezer. And we could watch You’ve got mail yet again, or ten things I hate about you, or letters to juliet (a recent rom-com – must watch!). Or even gossip Girl, though that would involve taralika’s initiation.
After the food high would die, Tara might try to talk us in to going commando for work and fall asleep (yes that is after the food high dies!). While malu and I would chat away, if sleep did not fluster our eyes. And may be we would even find that forgotten bottle of red wine and watch the sun rise. And be the devils to scream our way in to tara’s sleep and go for a walk followed by Cha!
And if Jozzy was free we could fly away on our broom sticks, with Gryffindor hearts! In our heads we would walk through secret passages, turn through tapestries, speak to the armours, and run up the changing staircases with vanishing steps! And try making an infusion of wormwood and asphodel.
That would be a lovely Diwali. :) But till then, we have cookies, and chocolates – almond rocks, liqueur, fudge! :D

Hope you all have a safe and jolly time!

Christmas!

Jingle bell jingle bell jingle bell rock..

Its been long since I updated this page. But there is so much to tell.

I hope you all had a merry Christmas! :) I decorated the house, with boughs and holly, bells and stars. We even wore Santa caps. Defence Bakery is soo good.. rich, rich rich plum cakes, and what wonderful cookies. I love the Christmas spirit.

I remember from college, a junior who when sailing by my corridor said, Sim next Christmas, is not going to be Christmas at all, for you wont be there. When I asked why, she said something about  them associating Christmas with me. But its all not the same here.. People are so different, different in everything. How they approach any problem, be it work, friends, women. Also I am stuck in a mans’ world. I am the only girl in the office. I am scared, I now forget to wear ear rings sometimes! And ask about the score.. Do you think I becoming a boy?

I met my college crowd. Some of them are so cute. I got a Jim Morrison coaster! Wow! :D :D .. Thanks Vasu, you are a doll. Did I tell you how much I love Christmas? But I have not bought a thing yet.

I think this city very cold. Cold as fish. And fake. It is as if everyone is wearing a microscopic lens. No one lets go. Its all bottled in and it stays there.

I checked this thing called Bio-rhythm.. its hilarious. Apparently my intellectual level is 0% and physically i shall be as high as 8%. well.. Makes me feel that I should take another day off. :D

O Avatar is such a bad movie. I shall devote a post to it.

High fidelity

I didn’t in the least like Nick Hornby’s Hi-fidelity, ask Vasu how we both hated it! But there is some sense in one thing he said. That pop music can be blamed for some of our woes. Like the DTC-music I subject myself to on a daily basis. (That too with dialogues, main tumhain nahin chhodunga, main intazaar karunga, Meri Priya.) Not to forget the ring-tones now-a-days. One fella even had a bhojpuri song.. kinda the limit! I sincerely believe that is the worst thing you can do to a person, gift him a ringtone. Imagine your boss calling you to savan main lag gayee aag, or my electricians ringtone, which thanks to his obstinacy even I have memorized, sayinya been bajaye.. (he refuses to ever come over before the sixth call)

But there is still more merit in Hornby’s observation, pop-music can put you in a curious mood. You feel like calling on old friends, boyfriends. (Though I cant list the top five.) And then you get sappy and feel like a pedicure, watching a movie and eating pop-corn, skipping office the next day, o.k. that can be said for most days. Still, I think you would get the drift.

…I bought a ginger and honey mix, as goes for the green tea, this too will take long before I try it.

Here is a list of things I need:

  1. new key board
  2. htc ear phones
  3. a break
  4. a car
  5. 30 hrs to each day
  6. et al.

Please note I accept gifts with flair and grace. And Christmas is round the corner!

Also, some think me is a man-eater. Pleased. Extremely so. Thanks again.
